The EKG/ECG Technicians perform diagnostic tests to aid doctors, mostly in outpatient centers, labs, clinics, doctor offices and hospitals. They identify and treat cardiovascular problems in patients. EKG Technician duties may include scheduling patient(s) appointments, running EKGs and stress tests, preparing patient(s) for Holter or ambulatory monitoring, editing and delivering test results to physicians, transcribing doctors’ notes, and much more.
